with Rachel Albrecht-Rossi and Laura Goethe-Rankel
Saturday, May 4th 1pm – 4pm
Malas have long been used as a tool to help focus concentration during meditation, as well as provide a tangible, physical reminder of peace when worn outside of meditation. Join Laura Rankel and Rachel Rossi as they guide you through a meditative mala making experience. Purposeful intention and creation will be part of this powerful workshop in which you will use high quality gemstone beads to design and assemble your personal mala. All materials will be provided and you will leave this workshop with a beautiful and personal mala, created by you, for yourself, or even someone you love!
Rachel Rossi, ERYT500,began practicing yoga over 14 years ago as a “reward” for running and a much-needed stress relieving aid. What started as an escape turned into a life-changing path, and her hobby became a passion. As a mentor for YP’s ASTT program, a master educator for Yoga Breeze 200 and 300 ASYTT and a Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Rachel has helped to train many yoga teachers in the valley and beyond. Her love of the practical application and science of yoga is woven into each class and workshop she presents. Her family, her students, and her practice are her greatest teachers- all of whom she is deeply humbled by and grateful for.
Laura Rankeltook her first yoga class in 2006, and she knew there was no looking back. Her passion ignited, she then turned to Yoga Pura‛s 500-hour Advanced Studies & Teacher Training program as a way to deepen her own practice and share the gifts of yoga with others. Her classesand workshops blend a genuine love of the practice, detailed attention to alignment, and integration of yogic philosophy and concepts into everyday life, with a joyful approach. Recognizing the power that yoga has had with her own daughter, Laura has become a tireless advocate for yoga for children. Laura has helped to train and mentor many valley yoga teachers in her role as a mentor for the Yoga Pura teacher training program and is a Certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator.
