Whether you’re interested in teaching, deepening your personal practice or learning self-mastery and how to live a more artful and meaningful existence, this program will be one of the most transformational experiences of your life. Although this program will teach you to be an effective and empowered teacher, it offers so much more. Exploring the Yoga Sutras and experiencing the teachings firsthand through movement and breath, you will learn how to effectively integrate the science of yoga into all aspects of your daily life. It’s through this integration that transformation happens – physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually.

Using the Yoga Wall extensively to workshop poses and break them down to their fundamentals, students experience the intricate nuances of each pose. Teaching as they learn, students apply their experience and knowledge early and repetitively, developing Sanskrit and effective cueing skills from the beginning.

Students of this program will come away with the ability to skillfully guide diverse populations safely and skillfully through the 8 Limbs of yoga.

Program Overview

Building upon the knowledge, skills and experience gained in our Yoga Alliance certified 200-Hour program, students will journey deeper into the ancient science of yoga.  With an in-depth study of the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita, students will deepen their understanding of the science and master the ability to integrate it into their daily life. Thus, deepening their skills of not only self-mastery, but mind-mastery as well. These teachings are timeless and indispensable, perhaps more relevant now than ever. We will also explore the concept of Dharma and find clarity in our life’s purpose, and deepen our understanding of the energetic system and the practical application of Ayurveda to create and maintain health and wellness.

We continue to explore and experience pranayama and meditation, learning advanced techniques with individualized guidance.  Students gain the understanding and confidence to know when and which techniques to teach to their students. There is a strong emphasis on teaching Vinyasa Flow classes and advanced poses. This will be integrated with advanced anatomy concepts as they relate to yoga, biomechanics and the effective use of various adjustments. Cheryl Oliver will be teaching a strong component on Sanskrit and Chanting. This program goes deeper into the business of yoga, exploring several business models, writing a business plan and how to successfully market your skills in today’s evolving marketing platforms.

This encompassing program is designed to provide students with an advanced training, empowering them to evolve as teachers and human beings that embrace their innate gifts and skills to bring this healing art to all populations that can benefit.
